Liberal Talking Point: Bush the Liar

Tom Barberi has been a voice on the left for years on Salt Lake radio. It has been some time since I have listened to him. I caught a few minutes today -- a best of or repeat of his.

He was on the latest liberal, which I have a hard time understanding: George W. Bush is not trustworthy.

Now I can see why libs don't like Bush but I don't understand the notion he is a liar. This is coming from those who favor Ted Kennedy, Al Gore, John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, Michael Moore, your favorite Hollywood actor/actress and, of course, Bill Clinton.

Liberals have these talking points, of which Bush is untrustworthy is one. The bulk of their points might seem to be "we gotcha this time" points, but none are backed up by facts. Think about some of them: Bush and the National Guard, Cheney and Halliburton, Bush's bumbling speech / word choice, immigration policies, global warming, GWOT does not exist, incompetency against al Qaeda (when we can't even catch Osama Bin Laden), Israel is the bad guy / Hezbollah the poor suffering Arabs, Palestinians / Hamas / PLO ditto, phone records, Valerie Plame / Scotter Libby / Karl Rove, energy policies, "diplomacy" vs military action, we should be more like the French, ... and the list goes on.

The libs are on the wrong side of every one of these issues. Their talking points are weak at best. They are formulated for the drive-by-media, casual current event followers, the uneducated. Sadly, they tend to work with this constituency.

The party of spin calling Bush a liar ... it doesn't get any better.
